Dr. Guggenheim has also emerged as a forceful advocate on critical sociopolitical issues. As Legislative Director for Gays Against Groomers, he shaped legislative strategy on protecting children and parental rights. A staunch defender of the First Amendment, he sued the Colorado state legislature, represented by the Institute for Free Speech, after being silenced during public testimony on a name-change bill, challenging compelled speech and government censorship.

He co-authored three amicus briefs in landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases: protecting children from irreversible medical interventions, defending parental rights, and overturning Colorado’s conversion therapy ban all resulting in victories. He has personally visited every county in Colorado to promote the Protect Kids Colorado / Save Girls Sports ballot measure. Federally, he has drafted legislation, met with the Speaker of the House and numerous lawmakers, and was recently invited to the White House to advise on protecting Title IX.

Dr. Rich Guggenheim is now a candidate for Colorado State Senate District 25. Running on a clear “Colorado First” platform, he brings a lifetime of scientific expertise, executive leadership, whistleblower courage, and unwavering advocacy to the fight for transparency, parental rights, free speech, and common-sense governance. He is asking for your support and nomination to deliver principled, effective representation at the Capitol.
