Strong Families: The Foundation of Our Community

A three-legged stool stands firm when all legs support a solid seat. In Senate District 25, that seat is strong families – the heart of Broomfield, Westminster, and Northglenn suburbs. Families here work hard, value safe neighborhoods, good schools, and affordable living, and want government that helps rather than hinders.

HOPE for Colorado Families is built on three strong legs that directly support you:
 

Leg 1: Family-First Policies

• Safe Communities: Support law enforcement with resources, not mandates. Back our officers, enforce tough penalties on repeat offenders, and cut red tape that ties first responders' hands. Safe neighborhoods are non-negotiable for raising kids.

• Putting Parents Back in the Driver’s Seat: Protect parental rights and give families real choices in education. Refocus schools on basics: reading, writing, math, and real history. Teach ideas, not ideology. 

• Restoring the American Dream of Homeownership: Make homes affordable by cutting excessive zoning, permitting fees, and red tape. Streamline approvals for attainable housing while protecting single-family suburbs and tying new development to actual infrastructure (roads, water, schools). Oppose blanket density mandates from Denver that erode neighborhood character.
   

Leg 2: Secure Elections & Constitutional Rights

• Protect every Coloradan’s fundamental rights, including free speech (no government censorship or compelled speech) and the Second Amendment for law-abiding citizens.

• Defend Democracy Through Secure Elections: Make Election Day a true American tradition with in-person voting safeguards. Protect your vote at the ballot box and ensure election integrity so every legal vote counts.

• Stand up for Colorado’s constitutional rights against overreach from any level of government.
   

Leg 3: Affordability & Taxpayer Protection

• Protect TABOR (Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights): Colorado government takes and spends too much of your hard-earned money. Families cut back, so state government must too. Demand spending restraint in Denver and prioritize core services over waste and special interests.

• Affordable, Reliable Energy. It's your Choice: Support Colorado’s local energy sector (oil, gas, and responsible renewables) for high-paying jobs and a dependable grid. Replace heavy-handed regulations with practical solutions. No more forced outages or policies that kill reliability and drive up costs.

• Cut the Nickel-and-Diming Fees: Slash unnecessary state and local fees on bills, registrations, licensing, and delivery that inflate everyday costs. Cap or roll back property tax and insurance hikes driven by over-regulation.
   

HOPE for Colorado Families offers a better path: less bureaucracy and more freedom. Protect TABOR, cut fees and regulations, empower parents, secure elections, support reliable local energy, and put families first. Colorado families are tightening their belts. Government must do the same.

Colorado families work hard. It is time for government to stop taking so much and start delivering real relief on housing, costs, commuting, schools, and daily life. Let’s cut the red tape, restrain spending, protect our kids and rights, and bring HOPE for Colorado Families.
